Design Options Expand with Firelite Plus
Now Beveled, Etched or Sandblasted Without Affecting Fire Rating
KIRKLAND, Wash. - Fire-rated glazing is now more versatile than ever before, opening a new array of design possibilities for architects and glaziers. Technical Glass Products announces that FireLite Plus, a fire-rated, impact safety-rated glass ceramic, can now be sandblasted, etched or beveled on one side without affecting the fire rating.
Listed with Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., FireLite Plus carries fire ratings of up to three hours for doors, and from 20 to 60 minutes for other applications. FireLite Plus also passes the hose stream test during fire rating certification. The spray from sprinklers or fire hoses will not interfere with the product's performance. FireLite Plus meets the impact requirements of ANSI Z97.1, and CPSC 16CFR1201 (Category I and II). It also passes positive pressure test standards UL 10C, UBC 7-2 and UBC 7-4.
FireLite Plus fits in standard fire-rated frames and is available as tested and listed in sizes up to 3,325 square inches. For complete product details, call Technical Glass Products at 1-800-426-0279 or visit the company's Web site at www.fireglass.com.
